When does a home need rewiring?
Rubber or fabric-covered cables, a fuse box with rewirable fuses, no RCD protection or too few sockets are all signs that your wiring may be out of date. Scorch marks, flickering lights and breakers that trip for no obvious reason are also worth checking.
